Super Ace foam for trail review by Øyvind Fagervold on 11/23/2024Xtep’s lab is truly serious when they now enter the super-foam jungle of trail shoes.
The Ace-foam and carbon plate is a very very good combibation for road racing shoes. And now they entered the trails with the Chimera and Chimera Pro.
First impression, little bit critical vecause of the boa-locking system. But this change fast after taking the shoe on. the shoe fit perfect to foot. And there is not much adjustments during the trailrun. The shoe is also super light (size US8). It feels like the 160x 6.0 but now with Vibram-sole! Lugs are great! This is a really fast trail shoe, and the design is epic tiger theme. Way to go from Xtep. Great shoe!
